OLYNTEC was founded by two entrepreneurs passionate about IoT, convinced that it must be possible to offer a simple and comprehensive solution to accelerate IoT deployment in industries. Olivier Guilbaud is even the CEO of INEO-SENSE, a Nîmes-based designer of connected devices since 2014. Driven by this belief, they brought together several friends to contribute to the launch of the company. OMNITERE was born.

But what is a great idea without a stellar team? This is where Madeline and Raphaël join the adventure. Madeline Wicker, an EM Lyon 2009 graduate with solid experience in finance and development, took charge of the project in early 2024. Raphaël Acisclo joined her in the summer to strengthen the technical expertise and develop new features. Integrated into the H7 innovation hub in Lyon, OMNITERE then became OLYNTEC, symbolizing its strong connection to the Lyon region and its ambition to offer a truly “all-in” solution!

Repairability
From the very beginning, we worked with our partner INEO-SENSE to ensure the best possible repairability of our trackers. A standard and durable casing, high-quality electronic components, most of which are easily replaceable, OTA system updates, and easily replaceable batteries. Every effort has been made to simplify the refurbishment of old or damaged trackers.
Circularity
At the end of customer contracts, the trackers are collected, refurbished (including complete data erasure), and tested by OLYNTEC, then redeployed to other clients! While a contract may last 3 years, the embedded electronics are designed to last at least 10 years (under normal usage conditions).
Frugalité
The firmware embedded in our devices manages network connections. Each transmission requires a small amount of energy, but this varies significantly from one network to another. Choosing the right network at the right time, with the best economic and energy cost, is key! With OLYNTEC’s embedded firmware and its learning technology, energy consumption is optimized throughout the life of the tracker and your project!
